Barbara Campbell-Antoine is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 30 years of experience. Barbara earned her Master’s in Social Work from Hunter College School of Social Work in NY. Barbara has spent many years working in NY and NJ and has provided clinical supervision to individuals pursuing state licensure in both states.

Barbara has been very successful in providing individual, couples, family therapies. She has demonstrated success in empowering individuals to acknowledge maladaptive behaviors and develop a plan to bring about positive change. She has helped couples to rebuild trust and intimacy. She has motivated family members to adapt to new behaviors that will unite the family unit. She has facilitated anger management classes that helped to identify and practice adequate coping skills. She has taught parents how to be emotional available to their children. She has also helped adolescents in navigating difficult situations in their lives. Barbara has also worked with the Severe and persistently mentally ill (SPMI) population.

Barbara’s approach to counseling is always rooted in maintaining the dignity of the most vulnerable. To this end, she uses client centeredness, collaboration and promotion of hope and positive expectation. Barbara rely heavily on cognitive behavior therapy and motional interviewing techniques to develop a therapeutic alliance with everyone.
