Credentials and Professional Experience
Brittany is currently pursuing a Master of Art’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Liberty University. She is expected to graduate in December of 2022. Previously she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts from Arizona State University. She is a member of the American Counseling Association and Chi Sigma Iota, the internal honor society for counseling.
Brittany’s philosophy rests on the assumption that suffering, imperfection, and failure have the capacity to produce beauty, strength, authenticity, and connection. She believes that growth and healing are possible when we feel safe, seen, and heard by someone who can offer us compassion, empathy, and acceptance. Her therapy style is warm, collaborative, and non-judgmental. She maintains that transformational change occurs when we have compassion for ourselves, understands our limitations, and celebrate our strengths. By utilizing techniques from various treatment modalities, including interpersonal neurobiology, attachment theory, mindfulness, emotionally focused therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy, treatment will be tailored to the unique needs of the individual, couple, or family.
