Approach
Brittany’s philosophy rests on the assumption that suffering, imperfection, and failure can be the catalyst for courage, authenticity, vulnerability, and strength. She believes that growth and healing are possible when we feel safe, seen, and heard by someone who can offer us compassion, empathy, and acceptance. Her therapy style is warm, collaborative, and non-judgmental. She maintains that transformational change occurs when we have compassion for ourselves, understand our limitations, and celebrate our strengths. Utilizing techniques from various treatment modalities, including interpersonal neurobiology, attachment theory, acceptance, and commitment therapy, relational life therapy, and the Gottman method, treatment will be tailored to the unique needs of the individual or couple.
