Credentials and Professional Experience

Ebony is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia with over 18 years of experience. She earned her Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University, Atlanta Campus, and her Bachelor’s in Psychology from Penn State University, University Park Campus. Ebony has worked in a variety of settings such as emergency rooms, behavioral health hospitals, outpatient clinics as well as provided in-home counseling. In addition, she had the honor of working for the Department of Defense providing therapeutic services for Marines and their families. Her experience is notably diverse ranging from supporting individuals having difficulty coping with daily stressors to those struggling with serious mental illness.

Approach

Ebony primarily uses Positive Psychology and Solution Focused Therapy approaches. She subscribes to the belief that the therapeutic process should be individualized and not a one size fits all treatment modality. She understands that each person is unique with whom at times can be faced with exceptional challenges causing significant emotional distress. Ebony is committed to creating a safe environment for her clients through unconditional acceptance where they can focus on themselves and work towards achieving the goals that are important to them.
