Credentials and Professional Experience

Kevin Larkins is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Anger Resolution Blueprint Specialist. He has been practicing for 7 years and has extensive experience in the areas of addiction, trauma, depression, stress management, anger management, anger resolution, anxiety disorders, and oppositional defiant disorders. He received his Master of Science in clinical psychology from Clayton State University in Morrow, Ga where he also received his Bachelor of health and human services. His previous roles include proving group therapy services, individual therapy services, couples therapy services, and family therapy services as a therapist and as a lead clinician in a community-based setting providing W.R.A.P and IFFI therapeutic services. His experience in group practice, non-intensive outpatient substance abuse programs and mental health programs within a non-profit setting has afforded him the opportunity to interact with a diverse group of people from various backgrounds.

Approach

Kevin’s approach to therapy is integrative. He believes in focusing on each client’s strength and meeting them where they are and approaching each session with a trauma informed non-judgmental and genuine style. Kevin utilizes techniques from Cognitive Behavioral therapy (CBT), Solution-focused, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Trauma Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TCBT), Family Systemic Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and Interpersonal Therapy (IPT).
