Approach
Lee believes in a cognitive behavioral approach to counseling combined with Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), reality therapy, and Accelerated Resolution Therapy to help his clients achieve their goals as efficiently as possible. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy helps clients understand how their actions and behaviors contribute to their life situation. SFBT focuses on what clients want to achieve in therapy rather than the issues that caused them to seek counseling. One of the core principles of reality therapy is that humans always act to meet five basic needs: power, love and belonging, freedom, fun, and survival. It involves a straightforward line of communication between the counselor and client. ART is a form of therapy that achieves rapid results, usually within one to five sessions. Clients with depression, anxiety, panic attacks, post-traumatic stress disorder, substance abuse, sexual abuse, and many other mental and physical conditions can experience remarkable benefits starting in the first session.
