Play-Based Social Skills Dyads/Triads for Children Diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome
Empowering children with Asperger’s through social connections, self-exploration, and skill building.
Participants will:
- Connect with other children diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome
- Build social skills within a safe, respectful environment through group feedback
- Practice conflict resolution strategies
- Learn strategies to identify and manage emotions like anger, sadness, frustration, and anxiety
- Engage in creative/expressive activities to explore our social worlds
- Practice functioning within a team through team-building activities
- Explore societal rules for a variety of relationships, and discuss how this fits with each of our own expectations
